Today, I went to the summer festival held at a nearby shrine. Wearing the new yukata my sister Itako bought for me, I felt a little excited.

The shrine grounds were lined with stalls, and a nice smell wafted from somewhere. Zundamon was eating candy apples and chocolate bananas one after another. I had a chilled pickled cucumber. It was the best for a body hot from the summer heat.

Shooting Gallery Challenge

After looking around the stalls, I tried the shooting gallery. I'm good at it because I've trained in FPS games. I aimed at the prize and shot it down with one shot. The prize was a Zundamon plushie. He looked a bit displeased, but oh well.

Fireworks Adorning the Night Sky

At the end of the festival, there were fireworks. The large flowers blooming in the night sky were very beautiful. Especially the final "weeping willow" firework was like a shower of light and breathtakingly beautiful.

Zundamon, who was watching next to me, quietly murmured, "It's beautiful..." which was a little surprising. He's usually so noisy, I didn't know he could make a face like that.

I want to come with everyone again next year.
