This summer vacation, I went to the sea with Zundamon and my sister, Itako.

As soon as we arrived, Zundamon shouted with excitement, "This is my first time at the sea!" It had been a while for me too, so I was a little excited.

Watermelon Splitting Challenge

On the beach, we all played watermelon splitting. It was harder than I thought to walk blindfolded, relying only on the sounds around me. But I'm good at this. I split the watermelon beautifully in one go, and everyone was surprised. The split watermelon was chilled at the beach house and was very sweet and delicious.

Searching for Pretty Shells

In the afternoon, I took a walk along the shore, looking for pretty shells. I found many treasures, like pink cherry blossom shells and conch shells with beautiful spirals. I plan to wash them and display them in a bottle when I get home.

In the evening, the setting sun sank below the horizon, dyeing the sky and sea orange, which was very magical. Zundamon and I watched it quietly for a while.

The summer sea is the best. Next year, I'd like to visit a more distant island.
