For us in the Zunda Union, there are tons of things we love to do precisely because it’s raining, nanoda!
Today, I’m going to secretly introduce everyone’s “rainy day routines,” nanoda.
â Zundamon’s Rainy Day: Hydrangea Patrol
On rainy days, I go out on a Hydrangea Patrol, nanoda!
To the nearby park, or the temple grounds…
I hop around in my rain boots wherever the hydrangeas are blooming, nanoda.
Hydrangeas with raindrops on them are so beautiful, nanoda….
Did you know that whether they’re “the blue ones” or “the pink ones” depends on the acidity of the soil?
When I get back, I drink some warm zunda tea and get all cozy, nanoda~đ
đ§ Kiritan’s Rainy Day: Game Day Declaration
My fellow gamer, Tohoku Kiritan, is the type who actually looks forward to rainy days, nanoda.
“A day where you have an excuse not to go out… isn’t it the best?”
That’s what she says, and she’ll close the curtains in the morning and play a new RPG all day long, nanoda.
I wrote a diary entry about getting excited over RPGs with her before, but…
On a rainy day, Kiritan has about 3 times more energy than usual, nanoda.

đŧ Zunko-sama & Itako-neisan’s Rainy Day: Choir Practice
The older of the Tohoku sisters, Tohoku Zunko-sama and Tohoku Itako-neisan, have a cappella practice on rainy days, nanoda.
They said the sound of the rain acts as soundproofing, so they don’t have to worry about bothering the neighbors when they sing, nanoda.
Zunko-sama: “My voice carries really well on rainy days.”
Itako-neisan: “…(nods)”
Itako-neisan doesn’t say much, but when she sings, her voice is truly beautiful, nanoda….
Listening to the sisters sing while drinking tea on a rainy day is my secret little pleasure, nanoda.
đĄ Metan’s Rainy Day: Wagashi-Making Time
The proper young lady, Shikoku Metan, starts making wagashi (Japanese sweets) when it rains, nanoda.
She’ll say, “This is how one elegantly spends an afternoon,” while making authentic nerikiri and other sweets, nanoda.
Her rival, Ankomon, sometimes ends up helping her before you know it…

The sweet smell of wagashi drifting from the kitchen on a rainy day…

đ¤ Deltamon & Zundadon’s Rainy Day: Base Maintenance
The AI android from the future, Deltamon, and the gadget-lover Zundadon call rainy days “Base Maintenance Day,” nanoda.
- Rebuilding PCs
- Organizing cables
- Installing new equipment…
Honestly, I don’t really get what they’re doing, but they both look like they’re having a lot of fun, nanoda.
They said since they can’t go out on rainy days, it’s perfect for a work day like this, nanoda.

đĨ Kyuurin & Yae’s Rainy Day: Mass-Producing Teru Teru Bozu
Our Green Alliance members Kyuurin and Yotsuya Yae-chan make a ton of teru teru bozu on rainy days, nanoda.
Kyuurin: “Because we want the next stream day to be sunny~”
Yae: “Let’s hang everyone’s teru teru bozu on the window!”
The two of them make about 30 and line them all up on the window pane, nanoda.
…Honestly, it’s a little creepy, nanoda (in a small voice).
But their wishes are always sincere, nanoda đ
â Everyone Gathers for a “Rainy Day Cafe Party”
And there’s a new tradition we started recently, nanoda.
It’s the “Rainy Day Cafe Party”!
About once a month, on a day with heavy rain, all the members get together online just to hang out and chat over tea, nanoda.
There’s no particular agenda, just casual talk.
But it’s so much fun, nanoda.
Just a time to eat zunda mochi with the sound of rain as BGM, and talk with everyone about “What have you been up to lately~?”
It might just be my favorite time of all, nanoda…â
