I looked at YouTube Studio and had to do a double-take.

140,000 subscribers.

…No, wait.

I’ll be honest. I didn’t think it would grow this much.

Think about it — 140,000 people. That’s… actually, let’s not try to put it in perspective. Numbers just make it feel less real.

I Told Zundamon About It

Kiritan:"...Zundamon. We passed 140,000."

Zundamon:"Huh!? For real!? YESSS!! 🎉"

Kiritan:"...Yeah. Pretty cool."

Zundamon:"Kiritan, your energy is WAY too low! Be more excited!!"

Kiritan:"I am excited. ...I'm freaking out inside, actually. I'm just not the type to show it on my face."

Zundamon:"Classic cool Kiritan... but your ears are turning red, you know."

…That’s basically how it went. Zundamon is so easy to read — gets excited instantly.

From a Gamer’s Perspective

What’s 140,000 in game terms?

If this were an RPG, we’d be entering the second half of the main story. Past the early-game fumbling, full party assembled, tons of new possibilities opening up.

But the final boss is still ahead.

…That would be 150,000. Our year-end goal.

At 130K, I thought “150K feels so far away.” But here we are at 140K before I knew it.

At this pace, we might actually make it.

Gamer’s intuition says so.

I’m Kind of a Shut-In, You Know

Those who know me know I’m basically an indoor person. Gaming, reading doujinshi, more gaming.

And yet, 140,000 people are watching a channel that someone like me is part of.

…It’s strange, right?

Imagining 140,000 people on the other side of the screen is almost scary. But more than scary, it’s… happy, I think.

It means that everything Zunko-neesama has worked for, everything Zundamon has energetically put out there — it’s actually reaching people.
